MattockFS is a user space file-system designed primarily for use by a (future) computer forensic framework. It combines forensic-process-integrity geared security features with features aimed towards spurious IO reduction in a data-heavy toolchain based asynchronous processing. Combining a write-once data archive with local message-bus functionality, capability based access controls, and a trusted provenance log, the building block that MattockFS provides might be usefull outside of a computer forensics settings as well. This short, 12 sheet teaser talk discusses MattockFs's roots and introduces MattockFS's core features. MattockFS is currently a one man project looking to expand.
