Description We want to build translucent, lightweight, 3d sculptures and use what ever you like as a model.

This session is kids friendly although adults help is needed to cut the children out when they are wrapped in. It really has no age boundary.

Needed Material: Bigger Scotch tape, cling wrap, bandage scissors (from your first aid kit), an object/person you want to copy.

As material we will need transparent tape and cling wrap. I will bring a few rolls with me, but the more we have the faster we can build. If you want you can mod these sculptures with all kind of lights and give your blinken lights projects a new form. The sculptures are super light weight and easy to transport. I used them in an arts project where I filled the scultures with payment receipts and statements of accounts (false ones) to protest against the end of the banking secrecy in Germany. In a another project we just formed upper bodies and put them over the lanterns in the streets, so the street looked a bit haunted. The streetart stayed for over a month. You can also wrap around laptops , phones or any kind of objects you would like to copy.

Depending on how much you want to copy it takes a different amount of time. An upper body with head takes about 30-45 minutes to make. A whole body about an hour. Please be aware that it gets warm under that plastic and you can not escape until it is finished, so go to the toilet before you get wrapped in ;-)

I visited this workshop three years ago at our university and kids from age 7-15 participated. Besides working with a scissor near the body I can recommend the whole activity for all ages. I mean I see three year olds handling soldering kits better then me, so have some trust in the younger generation.

So please come around and start cloning and forming some ghosts in these shells.
